Here is a battle report from a recent attack. In this, I am SuperMan. And the other player (the attacker) is the attacker. :P

If you notice from the original fleet, he sent the recyclers with the attacking fleet. Now I don’t know about you, but to me, unless you ABSOLUTELY have to have the cargo capacity, this is a not-smart thing to do.

Furthermore, there was half a million metal and about 220,000 Crystal. Which I have started collecting. :)

OGame Tips Strategy Guide

  1. If you send a recyler with your fleets you can send a second fleet of recylers within in seconds of the attacking fleet and they will arrive with in seconds of each other giving no one else an oppertuinity to get the res. The down side is that it gives the person being attacked more time to fleet save so only use it when you know there not going to be there.

  2. What’s the point of Space Bum attacking if he didn’t get any resources at all? I mean, it was an almost worthless attack.

  3. Looks like “Space Bum” was fleet saving by attacking. Some higher players will do this. Find a lower player, and send their entire fleet to overwhelm that players defense and ships. The recyclers will slow down the fleet enough till when the player comes back.

    I had one player send a fleet that took a little over 11 hours before it hit me. Gave me enough time to upgrade my defense 3x and move all my fleet and resources. The attacking player lost most of his light ships, a portion of his heavy ships, and most of his recyclers. He still won the battle, but got away with 5 metal, 5 crystal, and 3 deuterium.

  4. This is what I did once, and it worked out just fine. After espionage is complete, I ran battle simulation, and recorded that information. Then,

    a) I sent one espionage probe on an attack mission. It was destroyed by the defense, obviously… :D and a small debris field was created. (300 crystal… :D)

    b) I ordered my recyclers to go on a harvesting mission, in that debris field.

    c) After a while, I sent my fleet to raid the planet, and set up the timing, so it reaches the destination about 5 minutes before recyclers (since the fleet is much faster, it wasn’t so hard :D).

    Outcome: defense and fleet on that planet was destroyed, I lost some of my LFs and HFs… my fleet loaded half of the planet’s resources and finally, 5 minutes after the battle, my recyclers arrived and collected the debris.

  6. yes, all battles happen just about instantly. this is done because 1) it makes the deuterium consumption less complicated than having to guess how long the battle will last, and send more or less deuterium than needed, and 2) no one wants to wait for a real time battle between a thousand battleships and a hundred destroyers.

  8. what I recomend if you want a moon is that you could set up a deal with a friend for you and your friend to attack each other with 500 small cargo ships to get a 6% chance at a moon until you both have one. I prefer small cargo ships to light fighters beacuse you can send more to planets without destroying thier defences. they cost more crystal but they leave defences unharmed.

  10. I attacked this one guy with a huge fleet of cargo ships (100) and he had a bunch of resources and only 1 small laser, 1 small cargo ship, and 1 probe! I got like 100k of everything!

  18. wow is there any way to save the fleet in ca 2 seconds ? I can do it in 3 when there is to much traffic on the server but any way it is not possible if there is not so much traffic…please help me

  19. Well, I LITERALLY made an an attack worthless, plus boosted my self: spent 32k Metal on armor, 3k metal, 2k Crystal on robotics and something on small lasers. Amount attacker got upon impact: 1500 Metal 3896 Crystal 3600 deuterium… 3 Rewards: +Armor and +Robots, and the pleasure of making him send his whole fleet on me for no res. and when my alliance blew his defenses up while the fleet wasn’t there by
    ACS and raided him of almost everything…

  20. I once had someone attack me (from quite a distance away—I fleetsaved) who had nearly five times the amount of points I had at the time. He overwhelmed my ‘defences’ and raided me for all I was worth… at that time 2 metal 5 crystal and -1 deuterium. Neither I nor he have ANY idea how I had -1 deuterium…

    Has this bug happened to anyone else? It has happened to me again recently when I espionaged a person’s colony, and he apparently had -1 deuterium… this bug does not affect gameplay, but it is very odd…

After an attack, when the debris are floating around, if a moon is to be created from the debris, will it be created immeadiately after the attack, or will you have to wait for a certain amount of time for it to be formed? Also, you said that you could send a recycler fleet immeadiately following the attack fleet. Is it possible to send the recyclers to a DF that does not yet exist, or did I misunderstand that part?

  32. I have an idea you noobs may value…

    get a planet on its own in a solar system..

    build lvl 10 research lab..

    build lvl 5 on all resourses storage..

    then, you fools, send 1 mill of each resourse and either get graviton tech or do what i did and research lv 20 on attack tech so you wipe out medium fleets in first round. 100 bs with that tech wins everytime

    do you have any idea how much server drain that would cause?? think. 7000 people on a server on average. multiple attacks per person. so lets say 5000 attacks happening withing 5 hours. thats poss. anyway, thats 5000 animations that arent needed, and cause so much server drain, i dont even think it is possible. sure great servers could do it, if there wasnt 5000. and sounds cause server drain. you would want the animation to have sounds right? well that would def make it impossible. sounds cause enough drain as it is.

I hate it when them big players pick on the little guy.. i had this one player that kept raiding me repeatedly.. and mostly while i was asleep.. i was then told to do a fleetsave on deployment and set the speed to 10% then recall it when i wake up.. but i’m too lazy to do that, so i sent my fleet to one of my colonies.. no problems yet.. but im waitin on him to find me.. and @ anti-anti-noob guy… im a noob >.< he he

  39. Ya know Imperator-Rex, If I actually HAD 838.860.000 metal and 209.715.000 crystal, I would probably consider upgrading my weapon tech to level 20. Or maybe I would build 52 deathstars and still have 578.860.000 metal left over to upgrade armour tech to level 19. 52 deathstars with 19 armour can easily take out 2000 battleships that have level 20 weapons.
