1. Introduction:

I have started including some Frequently Asked Questions in the
newsletter. There is also a smaller article on Trading. I think
you’ll find the FAQ’s and the small tips useful.

If you have any specific questions you want to see answered, you
can reply to this email. I also pull questions from comments left
on articles at the OGame Tips website.

Father’s Day is coming up, so please don’t go spending the whole
day on OGame. Call your Dad!

2. What’s New at OGame Tips

The newsletter from the third week is now up in the Newsletter
Archives. Next week, this newsletter will join the archives.

I have a couple of new tools that are in the works. I’ll have more
information as time progresses.

Also, in case you haven’t noticed, the website has not yet moved
servers. I am trying to get this done, but the current host
situation is making this difficult without losing all the posts and
comments. I’ll keep everyone informed when the switch does occur.

3. A quick tip on trading!

I have found that trading can be an effective means of diffusing a
possible bad situation. If, like me, you are a riader, you probably
scan alot of systems. Sometimes, you scan someone more powerfull
than you by accident and arouse their suspicions. In this instance,
here is what I suggest:

1. Send them a friendly message stating you were scanning them to
see if they might be in need of "X" resource (whichever
one they have the least of or you have the most of).
2. State that you would like to establish a trade relationship with
them. Offer terms for the trade.
3. Remember to be polite! It works wonders!

Following these steps, you can often calm someone who was perturbed
by your espionage probes. Even if they don’t buy that your scan was
innocent, most people would rather trade with you than spending the
resources/taking the risk to attack you and take what they want.

Trading is very usefull if you are in need of one thing, but have
plenty of another lying around. I have been able to get as much as
100k metal & 100k crystal in a days worth of trading, and I
didn’t have to lose a single ship :)

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Question: If I start producing something and then cancel it, do I
lose the resource or I have them back when cancelling?

Answer: It depends on what your producing. You can cancel
Research and Buildings, and you get your resources back. This is a
easy way to “resource save” if your getting attacked.

You cannot cancel any defenses or ships you have built. Once those
are started, you have to wait for them to finish.

Question: How do I delete my planets and colonies?

1) Go to the Overview screen.
2) Click your planet name.
3) Click “Abandon Colony” (the button on the right).
4) Type in your password, then click “Delete Planet”

Question: I know it is possible to create space stations (one
exists at 1:1:2 in universe 3). What do I need to research to make
it possible to build them?

Answer: Space Stations are a special building only allowed by the
OGame staff. Specifically the creator of OGame. So no, you cannot
get a space station.
