Is there a maximum building level?

Published: Nov 19, 02:35 AM by: James Bron

To be quite honest, I don’t think anyone (aside from OGame’s programmers) really knows. However, the only piece of “evidence” we have to go on is the fact that the calculators on O-Calc (http://o-calc.com) preclude you from setting a building or research level above 99. Therefore, until we see conclusive proof otherwise, this is what I will assume the theoretical maximum levels to be.

Voidhawk’s Note: Furthermore, the amount of resources and time needed to create any building or research above level 35 or 40 is huge. By the time you hit anything above 50, you need to spend months in build times.

  1. Thanks mate.. finally someone who could tell me about that.. :) keep up the good work.. :D

  2. thanks dude i needed to know that _

  3. what about increasing the robotics and nanite up to counter the build times?

    fedor    Dec 18, 09:29 PM    #
  4. anyway i have found some web site (lost it now trying to find) that tell u that to build a level 65 metal mine u need 169.137.854.345.794.ect metal and thats too much for any1

  5. the cost allone can kill anyone economy within the time you get around 30 mines

  6. There is a obvious limit: The number of fields in the planet!

    — grana    Jan 2, 02:50 PM    #
  7. i was checkin out an online calculator @: www.takanacity.com which gives “accurate” build time and when u get a lvl10 nanite factory, build times are in seconds.

Voidhawk Says: True, build times are in seconds. But your talking 512 Million Metal and 250 Million Crystal just to create Nanite 10. That is NOT counting all the metal/crystal/deut you need to build up the other 9 levels.

The biggest drawback at that point would be resources, not time. Unless your on a moon, then it is resources AND time.

  8. I calculatet it,
lets say you have a huge planet of 200 fields, then around 100 must be used for the electricitysource. and the other 100 can be used for the mining.

Now I calculated that for building a level 78 metal mine (without the use of robot factories) will take you: 381 YEAR (not joking)

  9. But think of the bright side… by the time your lv 78 metal mine has finished, you’ll have saved up enough resources to start the next level… hopefully

    — IRule    Feb 16, 03:00 AM    #
  10. unless you keep geting attacked majorly before you have finished because you would just be a farm

    — moon stalker    Mar 4, 05:02 PM    #
  11. 200 is not huge, i personally have a 319

    — ben    Mar 7, 05:42 PM    #
  12. how about you take your main fleet from your main planet and place about 1/2 of it there, just to hold back his raiding rewards, and the nanite factory, how much time would it take about to build all the storage and electricity? FOr say over a couple months of nonstop builing?

  17. u people seem to forget that planet space dosent necesessairly have to be a problem. the terraformer can worry about planet space. ur very high mines can worry about the ressources, nanite and robotics factories can worry about building time and solar, fusion plants and solar satalites can worry about energy. but i dont think anyone in the history of ogame has ever gotten that high

    — intrepid    Jun 7, 09:17 PM    #
  18. you’re wrong here intrepid, according to what i know the terraformer gives u only 3 more planet squares ( the fourth one is for the terraformer itself) so u’re not calculating right.

  21. how do u get a moon

  22. BTW, does building storages increase gow much resource i get?

  23. Have you guys seen my dog?

    — Rogerthat    Nov 13, 12:52 PM    #
  24. Kinda, if your resources go into the red then mines stop producing until either you build storage or you spend resources which get you out of the red.

If you are in the red you only get 20k metal and 10k crystal per hour, the basic income.

    — Anthony    Dec 22, 05:52 AM    #
  25. Hey Anthony, you only get 20 metal and 10 crystal per hour, not 20,000 metal and 10,000 crystal.

    — Trevyr    Jan 5, 02:05 PM    #
  26. ... how much storage would it take to hold enough to build a mine that level i mean you could ship but the time to ship it and how long youed have to have your lv 77 metal mine not producing you would never really make a profit in hundreds of years but if your that dedicated well then you would be raidid contunisly storing
170 trillon metal not to mention crystal

    — grand scottish terry    Apr 24, 06:19 AM    #
  27. with all dose resources i could do a giant fleet…enough to destroy every one lol

    — keraix    May 28, 03:41 PM    #
  28. im not sure, but i know for 90% that buildings can reach maximum level 99 except shipyard which can reach lv. 999… dont know why xD
