Bashing Rule

|

Published: Oct 13, 12:59 PM by: Voltaire

So, the Bashing Rule; What is it, and when does it apply? And is there any way around it?

‘Bashing’ is when you attack a planet or moon more than 6 times in a 24 hour period. The bashing rule applies to everyone not in an alliance that is at war. This means, that during times of peace in your alliance, you’re unable to attack anyone more than 6 times.

Now then, there are 2 exceptions to this rule. The first and most basic is if two alliances are at war with each other. Feel free to utterly destroy your opposition. Please remember that the planet or moon in question has to be from the opposing alliance. The other exception is is your fleet is completely destroyed. Of course, If you lose your entire fleet, I don’t think you’ll be doing much more attacking that day.

As a reminder, IPMs do NOT count towards the bashing rule.

Now then, ways around it. There aren’t many….If fact, only one; declaring war on an other alliance.

So, any comments on the rule? Hate it? Love it? Please, feel free to comment below. =)

No, If you attack and YOUR fleet is completely wiped out, Then it does NOT count towards the bashing rule.

  3. A nice way to bash someone while being completely legal, is to find a friend who’s wanting to bash someone also. You share the bashing, so each ‘bashee’ still gets more than 6 attacks, but from different players.

    So you would do this:
    You’re player A.
    Your friend is player B.
    Your target is player C.
Your friend’s target is player D.

    Player B attacks player D, 5 times.
    Player A attacks player D, 5 times.
    Player A attacks player C, 5 times.
    Player B attacks player C, 5 times.

Player C got attacked 10 times.
Player D also got attacked 10 times.

If you want to bash someone, this is the easiest way without getting caught up in alliance diplomacy and such.

  5. Well, the rules are simple, you just have to go to the Ogame board and read them. Here they are for those who can’t be bothered to access the forums and read the rules.

    V. Bashing – Attacking a planet or moon more than 6 times in any 24 hour period is considered bashing, and is not allowed. – Moon Destruction missions count as attacks under the bashing rules.

Exceptions – Bashing is only permitted when your Alliance is at war with another Alliance
(the War must to be announced on the official Ogame board, in the correct forum) – attacking fleets that are completely destroyed do not count towards the bashing rule – Fleets whose combat is affected by the no-fire bug are exempt from the bashing rule. – Interplanetary missile attacks do not count towards the bashing rule.

  11. they have to report the bashing for it to count. but if they get on, and the battle reports are in their messages, then they could report it, i believe.

  13. Hey if i attack person A home planet 6 times and then thier colony 6 times is that bashing

    — talis    Aug 21, 02:46 PM    #
  14. No… the bashing rule only applies to individual planets or moons.. you can attack the same person more than six times, just not the same exact location… you could, in theory, even attack a planet 5 times, and its moon 5 times, without getting busted for bashing..
